GoodBookey Hosts Veteran Entrepreneurs for Bunker Brews

The GoodBookey team is proud to host Raleigh’s premier group of veteran entrepreneurs, executives, and charity leaders for Bunker Labs RDU’s monthly Bunker Brews social event.

Bunker Labs RDU is the Raleigh-Durham area chapter of Bunker Labs, a nonprofit organization built by veteran entrepreneurs to empower other military veterans as leaders in innovation. The organization seeks to inspire veterans to start businesses, provide them with education and resources for launching and sustaining their companies, and connecting them with other entrepreneurs, investors, and subject matter experts to help them grow as business leaders. The local Bunker Labs group provides educational programming, access to resources, and a thriving local network that prides itself on helping military veterans and their spouses start and grow businesses.

Bunker Labs holds monthly Bunker Brews events, which are monthly meetups where veterans, military spouses, and civilians come together to network with subject matter experts, thought leaders, and investors in an environment that fosters growth and development. The May 16 Bunker Brews event took place at the offices of Carimus, the parent agency of GoodBookey

This month’s Bunker Brews is special, with a program celebrating the “Frontline Leaders Deck of 52,” a Bicycle Collectible deck of playing cards that highlight some of the individuals who served in the military after September 11 and subsequently launched businesses and charities.

“We are thrilled to host Bunker Brews and continue to lift up the community of veteran entrepreneurs in the Triangle,” said Tony Pease, Carimus and GoodBookey co-founder and a veteran with five years of service in the United States Navy. “Veterans have a lot to offer, as we pick up not only a variety of technical skills and expertise, but also develop character and leadership traits that are indispensable when it comes to launching, scaling, and running a business.”

“My wife, Anita, and I, as well as others in the Carimus/GoodBookey family, are proud to have served alongside so many great future business leaders while we were in the Armed Forces, so it’s a real pleasure to be a part of Bunker Labs RDU and give back to people who have given so much for our country,” Pease added. “We are thankful for the many great things that this organization does for veterans around the country.”
