For this year’s March Madness tournament, the GoodBookey held a friendly little bracket competition. Our competition’s March Madness winner won $100 cash and a $100 donation towards the GoodBookey nonprofit of their choice. Well, March Madness is over, and we are thrilled to announce Lani Berry, one of our Software Engineers, took home the title!
VS. CANCER FOUNDATION:
Lani chose for her donation to go to the Vs. Cancer Foundation.
“It was difficult choosing a charity because they are all great, but this one hit a little closer to home. Being a cancer survivor and having people near and dear to my heart pass away from cancer, I thought it was the obvious choice. Not to mention, Vs. Cancer Foundation helps children who are incredibly deserving of lifesaving childhood cancer efforts.
WHAT LANI DOES FOR GOODBOOKEY:
“I am a Software Engineer and I focus on fixing bugs and making improvements within the GoodBookey app.”
FUN FACT:
“The diehard sports fanatics might kill me over this one, but I chose my first round based on people I know in different states (Minnesota really let me down there). Then I chose my Sweet 16 based on seed stats.”
Congrats on being our 2017 March Madness winner, Lani!
