Success on GoodBookey in Week 2 hinged in large part on Kentucky’s shocking upset of Florida, at Florida.
The big win for Kentucky ended 31 years of misery losing in The Swap, and scored GoodBookey picking savants 525 points. Overall, people did well using either a few locks and hitting one or two moderate upsets, or going all upsets and hitting one or two big ones.
Here are a few approaches to consider as we head into Week 3
Road Heavyweights
Ohio State (121 pts) – A young, talented OSU team goes on the road to TCU. Does TCU really have a chance? This will be interesting.
Bama (110 pts) – Ole Miss has a great offense but swiss cheese defense. Roll Tide, as they say.
Washington (139 pts) – The Huskies come in as the heavy favorite, but Utah has a very good D. This could be an Upset Alert special.
Miami (129 pts) – Toledo held a 16-10 lead at half last year against the Hurricanes, but Miami thrashed the Rockets in half two. Look for tomorrow to be a continuation of last year’s second half.
Oklahoma (113 pts) – The Sooner are dealing with a few key injuries but Iowa State is still overmatched. Look for OU to roll.
Road Dogs
Vandy (600 pts) – Vandy is sneaky good this year and Notre Dame looked poor against Ball State in Week 2.
LSU (385 pts) – Two equally matched SEC heavyweights as LSU and Auburn square off – it’s anyone’s game, here.
Boise (225 pts) – Short and sweet, Boise State is really good this year.
USC (240 pts) – Will Texas get it together at home? We’ve been waiting for five years. Look for USC to come out strong.
BYU (975 pts) – This one seems impossible, but I also thought Kentucky would never beat Florida.
Sleeper Home Team Value Picks
Oklahoma State (169 pts) – Boone Pickens winners
Texas (163 pts) – Will we see the same ole Texas or can they protect home turf and get a good win?
TCU (500 pts) – This is a reach, but OSU is young and you just can’t underestimate Home field advantage.
Utah (315 pts) – This should be a low scoring game and the Utes will need to dominate the turnover margin to pull the upset.
SDSU (270 pts) – Arizona State might have a hangover after their big upset.
